2024 Secondary 1 Registration
A warm welcome and congratulations to all Secondary 1 students who will be joining St. Anthony’s Canossian Secondary School (SACSS) from 2024.
We will be conducting our Secondary 1 Registration online on 21 December 2023 (Thursday).
Parents and students do not need to be physically present in our school.
1. Secondary 1 Online Registration
The registration and live dialogue will be held via zoom on 21 December 2023 (Thursday) at 9 am for all parents and students.

2. Secondary 1 Acceptance Form
Please complete and submit the online acceptance form to acknowledge that your daughter/ward is accepting her posting to SACSS. You may access the form here.
Students who have been posted to SACSS but intend to appeal to another school should still complete the form for administrative purposes.
If your appeal to another school is successful, please kindly notify the SACSS General Office at 6449 0616.
3. Administrative Details for MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (For MOE FAS)
If you have applied for 2024 MOE FAS, you will be notified by the school (via Parents’ Gateway) on the administrative procedures.
Collection date for books and uniform: 26 or 27 December 2023 (Tuesday or Wednesday). Please remember to make an e-appointment on the pacific bookstore website.

4. Information on Subject-Based Banding (SBB) and Higher Mother Tongue (HMT) Eligibility
Subject-Based Banding
You will be informed via Parents Gateway by 22 Dec 2023 if your child is eligible to take a subject at a more demanding level.
Please respond with your acceptance/rejection by 26 Dec 2023, 5pm. If you have any questions, you may email our school’s SBB Coordinator, Mr. Andrew Seah, directly at seah_hui_shan_andrew@moe.edu.sg
Higher Mother Tongue
Your child will be eligible to offer HMT if she meets the following criteria:
Attain PSLE Score of 8 or better OR
Attain PSLE Score of 9 to 14 inclusive; and achieving (i) AL1/AL2 in MTL or (ii) Distinction/Merit in HMTL.
If your child is eligible to offer HMT, you would have received the notification with your result slips. You will be informed via Parents Gateway on 22 Dec 2023 if your child is eligible.
Please note that HMT lessons will be offered in designated external Higher Mother Tongue Centres after school.
Offering MTL at Less Demanding Level (LDL)
Students with difficulties coping with the subject have the option to offer Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) at a less demanding level based on their performances at the PSLE.

Students who have met the above PSLE MTL grade criteria can choose to offer MTL at a less demanding level if they prefer.
